Baby Betty Boop

Betty Boop’s fan base was mostly grownups when she debuted. Her sexy sway and risqué fashion taste clearly catered to an older crowd, after all. But a wide array of baby-oriented Betty Boop memorabilia has hit the market in recent years nonetheless.

Pick any corner of a baby’s nursery—the walls, closet, the floors, the crib itself—and there are baby Betty Boop items that you can find for dressing it up. They all feature baby versions of Betty Boop: baby face, bonnet, pudgy little baby arms clutching a bottle, and a baby nightgown. It’s a toddler-friendly Betty Boop, how she would have looked before she grew up into a saucy showgirl.

There is a pink Baby Boop wall clock that you can place on the nightstand. Its pink clock face has a little picture of Baby Betty and a layer of glitter that adds sparkle to each of the numerals. Alternately, you could go with the pink Baby Boop Twinbell Clock, a vintage clock with a pair of ringing bells on top. Baby Betty and two animal friends are painted on its clock face.

A closet in the room would be as good a place as any to keep a Betty Boop Diaper Bag. This bag is black and lined front and back with multicoloured rows of hearts. Within each heart stands one Betty. The bag measures 16 inches by 12 inches—big enough to stash all you’ll need to care for your baby while on the go.

The closet is also a good place for the Baby Boop Coat Rack, a wooden frame with three hooks for three sets of clothes. Its front is lit up with pastel colour patterns and pictures of Baby Betty. There are also two photo spaces for you to add to more pictures of your own.

How about some Baby Betty Boop wallpaper? Blue, pink, and white wallpapers abound with images of Baby Betty taking a bath, clutching a bottle, blowing bubbles, drying her hair with a towel, or all of the above.

There aren’t any Betty Boop crib bedding sets on the market yet. But you can top off the crib’s bedding with a plush baby Betty Boop Luxury Blanket, an acrylic baby blanket of soothing pink with a picture of young Betty dozing off, head on a pillow, with a crescent moon shining down through a window and three smiling stuffed-animal buddies resting around her.
