Not every grownup has the patience for adult digital cameras with their confounding scroll-through screen displays, panels chock-full of buttons and dials, and inflated price tags. Move over from the hardware store aisles to the toy store aisles, and check out what the Little Tikes camera series has to offer: cameras that look cute, are simple and easy to use, have an impressive range of features, and are affordable to boot—don’t we all wish we were still young enough to sport cameras made for kids?

My Real Digital Camera can store up to 1,000 pictures. It has among its features auto-flash, rubber handles, a user-friendly menu of large buttons, and dual viewfinders. You get some options on the camera’s colour. It’s available in a pretty shade of pink, or in a colour combo of red, white, blue, and green. Whichever of these two colour choices you take, you can buy the camera for just $48.

Is your kid up for a digital camera that has a few more bells and whistles? Then you can get the My Real Digital Video Camera. This member of the product series is only a little pricier than its counterparts: $58. That’s quite a bargain, given that it records video and has a USB plug for uploading to a computer or TV. The camera includes a speaker, microphone, a 1.7-inch LCD screen, and a 4x digital zoom.

The My Real Digital Video Camera’s performance is on par with many grownups’ cameras: 64 MB of memory and 1.3 megapixel resolution. You can expand the My Real Digital Video Camera’s memory even further if you have an SD card. The SD card is not included in the package, but the camera does have a slot for accepting one. The camera’s default language is English, though the language options allow you to switch to German, Spanish, or French.

The Little Tikes camera product series even includes a camera phone. The Discover Sounds Camera Phone is engaging with its bright red panel colours, a luminous liquid display that comes alive with floating icons that you can move around via a spin dial, and a variety of ring tones. It sells for $50.
