Little Tikes Climbers

Need a play unit to liven up your backyard or living room for the young ‘un? You can’t go wrong with one of the Little Tikes climbers, whose combinations of slides, climbing walls, and platforms are great fun and exercise for kids of many ages.

Young kids everywhere love the Little Tikes climbers are for the variety of play options each one offers. Check out the Fold Away Climber, which is a climbing wall and slide, plus a basketball hoop and a net for hockey and soccer games. A mini basketball is included. Your kids will have fun no matter in any sports season. This unit is recommended for kids ages 3 to 5.

You can easily adjust the hoop’s height by sliding it up or down the coasters in back so that it is a better fit with your own kid’s height. You can also pack up and move the set to different sites around your house with very little trouble. It weighs just 37 pounds.

Other Little Tikes climbers are great for kids as old as seven. These include the Adjustable Mountain Climber, which can be arranged into a variety of configurations and play patterns. It comes with two slides that you can attach at a low height or a high one, depending on your kid’s age and height. This makes for a climber that will actually grow with your kid. The climbing walls’ heights vary, too. You can raise or lower them to any of four settings to make for a more challenging climb or an easier one.

Kids climbing up and down the Adjustable Mountain Climber get the feeling of playing in their own mountaintop fort. It comes from the side walls that are shaped and grooved like boulder piles, and the platform that’s lined like planks of wood. The top level has a play telescope, a very fort-appropriate amenity for when they want to look out below for spies and invaders. Also adding to the ambience is the wall of rope netting on the bottom, opposite the climbing wall. This rope netting is strong enough to also be climbed.

The netting, the climbing wall, and two side walls of “wood planks” all come together to form a comfy hideout hollow underneath the top platform. This space is big enough for kids to hang out in, or for stashing their extra toys until they need them.
