Little Tikes Desk
Three years old is old enough to have a nice desk. Where else would your child put his or her toys at when not playing with them? Luckily for you and your youngster both—and the living-room floor that will be all the less cluttered for it—the Little Tikes desk series has many handsome, quality desks that will suit a child ages 2 to 6 perfectly.
The Little Tikes desk series line-up begins with the Mission Design Desk, a furnished wood desk with natural finish that has compact 32-inches by 22-inch surface area just about large enough for a small child to sit at. A top ledge at the back and a drawer underneath provide extra storage space. If your child likes to colour, draw, or cut things out of construction paper, this is an ideal creative space for him or her.
The Mission Design Desk is a durable piece of wood furniture that will complement a living room or bedroom nicely. And it’s sturdy enough that it will last well and look great for many years. That’s long enough to serve your child’s needs. And if he or she gets a little brother or sister in the future, that new member of the family will be able to use it, too. The EasyAdjust Play Table is another ideal drawing and coloring space for a young artist. It’s a very different look and feel from the Mission Design Desk—it’s plastic, not wood, and is a multicolored array of silver, green, purple, red, and orange rather than simple wooden finish. If your kid likes colorful, then this is a good Little Tikes desk to choose.
It’s also a good desk for a kid who could use extra storage space. There are four large bins underneath the table top; lots of room for holding toys, games, art supplies, or anything else your kid might need to have at hand. The storage bins don’t shut like drawers. They stay open, with anything inside at easy reach. Thus there’s no rummaging through drawers to find things.
And it’s a very low-maintenance desk. Its plastic surface needs just a few wipes of a damp cloth to be cleaned. And there is very little chance of permanent scratches or other marks marring its surface over time. Like the Mission Design Desk, it’s a desk that will serve your child’s purposes and look great for many years to come.
