Little Tikes Easel
Is your kid a budding young artist? You’ll surely want to encourage his or her craft in any way you can. One sure-fire help would be getting a Little Tikes easel. The Little Tikes easel series offers several excellent easels that are sturdy, attractive, and outfitted with varieties of useful amenities and extra features.
The Double Easel is a Little Tikes easel that two artists can use at once. On one side is a large clip board that holds a pad of paper with 50 sheets (which is included). On the other side is a chalkboard with a set of chalk and an eraser included. Both sides have their own trays good for holding paints, markers, chalk, etc. The easel is a durable plastic coloured an inviting, cheery shade of bright red.
This easel is a social easel. Two kids can both draw and paint away, and maybe even bounce ideas off each other. Who knows what they’ll come up with?
Durable hardwood, honed with a natural finish, constitutes the Mission Design Easel, an addition to the Little Tikes Mission Design series of fine-wood furniture. It, too, has two sides for two kids: a blackboard on one, and a magnetic clip for a sketch pad on the other (this one’s paper is not included; you buy that separately). The magnetic clip allows you or your child to very easily change one sheet of paper after another with very little hassle or mess. A shelf on top holds extra supplies.
You’ll find the Mission Design Easel’s trays very easy to clean. And better still, they’ll leave little evidence of your child’s handiwork—unlike some easels whose trays are loosely attached to the easel and let paint drip down through their crevices to the floor, these ones are secured solidly to the easel and catch any and all running paint before it has a chance to leave a stain.
And as easels go, it’s a beauty. The hardwood finish makes for as professional a look as you could hope for. And the layout is masterful: no plastic trays or metal brackets jutting out, and all the screws and other hardware are tactfully concealed.
No matter what easel you choose, your kid’s painting and drawing experience will be more comfortable. And more authentic—dabbing away at his or her easel, paint brush in hand is just the thing to make your young artist feel like a pro.
