Little Tikes Wagon
Figuring out how to make old toys stay interesting and fun isn’t easy. But the best toy manufacturers somehow do it. That’s a great thing for us consumers, because we get excellent products like the Little Tikes wagon series.
The Explore Wagon is plastic, not metal like the wagons of old that are prone to get rusty and creaky. Something else it has on its predecessors: All four of its sides are removable for greater ease getting in and out of it. And for a wagon that is plastic and made of removable parts, it’s fairly sturdy, too. Its double-layered walls and three-inches-thick wheels can handle big loads as well as any metal wagon. The sides lock together when the wagon is in use.
Kids will surely enjoy the Explore Wagon’s two in-built cup holders, an umbrella hole (can fit the Little Tikes Market Umbrella, which is sold separately), and a tray that can store condiments, art supplies, or toys. The whole model is a handsome colour combination of red, gray, and green.
The Little Tikes Adventure Wagon resembles the Explore Wagon. It, too, is made of rugged plastic. And its sides also detach or lock together as needed. But it’s a more compact Little Tikes wagon: Its body measures 34.4 x 15.7 x 18.8 inches (the Explore is 43 x 22.5 x 21.5 inches). But it’s a very comfy ride, all the same. And it’s an attractive one, too. The solid-green and cream colour combo is a pretty sharp one.
Cup holders are also standard in the Cozy Cruisin Wagon, a Little Tikes wagon that is big enough to fit two kids. It’s another compact wagon: 16.5 x 23.6 x 41.9 inches. But the ride is more comfortable than those of many bigger wagons, thanks to the pair of back seats facing opposite each other.
A storage area in the Cozy Cruisin Wagon can hold snacks and beverages, or be a place to stash toys, hats, and gloves. When the ride is done, you can fold the handle down underneath to more easily store and transport the wagon. Its solid red body is definitively retro.
The sizes, colours, and features of these wagons vary, but there is one thing they all have in common: They are fun. Whether your kids are at the beach, in the backyard, or down the block at a friend’s house, they’ll put these wagons to much good use.
